Wanda Hendrix (November 3, 1928 – February 1, 1981) was a notable actress in American cinema and television.

Born Dixie Wanda Hendrix in Jacksonville, Florida, she began her artistic journey in local amateur theater, where her talent caught the eye of a talent scout. This led to her signing a contract in Hollywood, and she made her film debut in Confidential Agent in 1945. Initially, her roles were primarily in "B" movies, but as the 1940s progressed, she earned parts in more distinguished films like Ride the Pink Horse (1947) and Miss Tatlock's Millions (1948), as well as co-starring with Tyrone Power in Prince of Foxes.

In 1949, Audie Murphy, a prominent actor, recognized her from a magazine cover and requested a meeting. They wed on February 8, 1949, but their marriage was brief and ended in divorce by April 14, 1950. Hendrix later reflected that Murphy's struggles with post-traumatic stress disorder from World War II created tension in their relationship, recalling incidents where he had reacted violently during flashbacks.

Afterward, Hendrix sought to revitalize her career but faced challenges securing quality roles. She married affluent sportsman James Langford Stack Jr. on June 26, 1954, the brother of actor Robert Stack, but retired from acting, occasionally appearing in shows like My Three Sons and Bewitched until their divorce in 1958. Her third marriage was to Italian businessman Steven LaMonte on June 7, 1969, which ended in divorce in 1980.

Wanda Hendrix passed away from double pneumonia in Burbank, California, at the age of 52 and was laid to rest at Forest Lawn Cemetery.
