Erkan Kolçak Köstendil

Erkan Kolçak Köstendil is a multifaceted Turkish actor, writer, director, and singer, born and raised in Bursa, Turkey. He is related to the acting industry through his uncle, Bülent Sakrak. Initially aspiring to be a goalkeeper, Köstendil's life took a turn when he met two prominent actors who inspired him to pursue a career in theater. This led him to study at the esteemed Mimar Sinan University of the Fine Arts, where he honed his craft.

Köstendil's artistic journey includes writing, directing, and performing in various plays and short films. Notably, he wrote and starred in the acclaimed production, 'Karsi Cinsle Tanisma Sanati,' and received the 'Actor of the Year' award for his role in the play 'Aut,' additionally garnering a 'Young Actor Special' award. He also made waves in digital media as the creator of the first Turkish Facebook series, 'Mukadderat,' and achieved critical acclaim with his award-winning short film, 'Vakit.'

Transitioning seamlessly to television, Köstendil made his debut in the popular series 'Kurtlar Vadisi' in 2005. His breakthrough came in 2009 with 'Sakarya Firat,' where his portrayal of a low-ranking soldier resonated deeply with audiences. He became a household name as 'Karlos Nevizade' in the hit series 'Ulan Istanbul,' where he also showcased his singing talent with the song 'Yanarim Yanarim.' His subsequent roles, including 'Shahin Khan Girai' in the internationally recognized series 'Muhtesem Yuzyil: Kosem,' solidified his status in the industry.
