Kristen Holden-Ried
Kristen Holden-Ried, born on August 1, 1973, is a prominent Canadian actor celebrated for his compelling performances on both television and in film. He gained fame for portraying William Compton in the acclaimed Showtime series *The Tudors*, showcasing his range in the fantasy drama *Lost Girl* as Dyson, and for his role as Quint Lane in the action-horror film *Underworld: Awakening*.
Born in Pickering, Ontario, Holden-Ried initially pursued business studies at Concordia University in Montreal but soon shifted his focus to acting. He made his on-screen debut in 1995 with the leading role in the television film *Young Ivanhoe*. Following this, he featured in various shows including *The Outer Limits*, *The Dead Zone*, and *Smallville*, gradually building his reputation in the industry.
His role as William Compton in *The Tudors* (2007) marked a significant turning point, earning him critical acclaim. In 2010, he became a staple in *Lost Girl*, appearing throughout all five seasons and becoming a fan favorite.
