Mei Nagano is a prominent Japanese actress whose career has flourished since her early beginnings. Born in Tokyo, she was discovered in Kichijouji while in elementary school, paving the way for her entry into the entertainment industry. Her acting career commenced in 2009 with a minor role in the action-adventure film, Hard Revenge Milly: Bloody Battle.

Nagano gained significant recognition in 2015 when she portrayed Rinko Yamato in the romantic comedy My Love Story!, a performance that showcased her talent and charm. The following year, she took on her first leading role in the teen drama Koe Koi, playing Yuiko Yoshioka, a high school student whose life changes when she meets a mysterious boy. In September 2016, she lent her voice to the character Zaya in the Japanese version of the film Gods of Egypt.

In 2017, she continued to capture audiences with her role as Yosano Suzume in the romantic film Daytime Shooting Star. That same year, she was selected as the lead for NHK's 98th Asadora, Hanbun, Aoi, which was set to premiere in April 2018.
