Gilles Renaud

Gilles Renaud, born on September 25, 1944, is a distinguished Canadian actor celebrated for his work in Quebec's film and television industry. Over the years, Renaud has made significant contributions to cinema, receiving critical acclaim for his performances.

His noteworthy career took a notable turn in 1983 when he earned a Genie Award nomination for Best Actor for his role in the film *A Day in a Taxi* (*Une journée en taxi*). This early recognition paved the way for further accolades, including two nominations for the prestigious Jutra Award for Best Supporting Actor. He was nominated at the 9th Jutra Awards in 2007 for his role in *The Secret Life of Happy People* (*La Vie secrète des gens heureux*) and again at the 16th Jutra Awards in 2014 for *The Dismantling* (*Le Démantèlement*).

In 2016, Renaud featured in the film *Bad Seeds*, showcasing his versatility and commitment to his craft.
