Terry W. Wilson (September 3, 1923 – March 30, 1999) was a prominent American actor celebrated for his enduring portrayal of "Bill Hawks," the loyal assistant trail master, on the beloved western television series Wagon Train, which aired from 1957 to 1965. Throughout the show’s remarkable 267 episodes, Wilson established himself as a key figure alongside notable co-stars such as Ward Bond, Robert Horton, and John McIntire.

His career spanned over three decades, during which he appeared in more than thirty-five films and television shows from 1948 to 1981. Many of his earlier roles went uncredited, including his appearance as a stagecoach guard in the 1953 episode "Woman from Omaha" of The Lone Ranger, and a robber in the 1956 episode of the pioneering western series Cheyenne, which was the first hour-long television western featuring Clint Walker.

Before embarking on his acting journey, Wilson served his country in the Marine Corps from 1943 to 1946. His contributions to the entertainment industry and his work in the western genre have left a lasting legacy.

Terry Wilson passed away at the age of 75 on March 30, 1999. He is survived by his wife, Mary Ann Wilson, and their three children, who remember him fondly as a dedicated family man and talented actor.
