Yorick van Wageningen

Yorick van Wageningen, born on April 16, 1964, in Baarn, Netherlands, is a distinguished Dutch actor known for his diverse roles in both Dutch and international cinema. He began his career on stage, performing in a variety of Dutch plays, films, and television series. His talent soon caught the attention of Hollywood, leading to an invitation to participate in Steven Spielberg's sci-fi thriller, Minority Report. Unfortunately, visa issues prevented him from taking part in that project. Nevertheless, van Wageningen successfully transitioned to American films, achieving significant recognition for his performance in The Chronicles of Riddick, where he garnered praise from co-star Vin Diesel.

Throughout his career, he has had the opportunity to work alongside numerous esteemed actors, including Angelina Jolie, Judi Dench, Colin Farrell, Christian Bale, and Clive Owen, showcasing his versatility and appeal in various genres.

After a lengthy absence from Dutch cinema, van Wageningen made a notable return in 2008 with Oorlogswinter (Winter in Wartime), a film adaptation of a celebrated Dutch children's book set during World War II. This project reaffirmed his connection to his roots and showcased his enduring talent on the international stage.
