Gill Mohindepaul Singh embarked on his acting journey with TVB after competing in the popular game show "Minutes to Fame," hosted by Hacken Lee and Joey Leung. Prior to his foray into acting, he served in the Correctional Services Department. Gill made history as the first Indian actor to be signed by TVB, gaining recognition for his role in the sitcom "Welcome to the House," where he became a regular cast member.

In a revealing interview with Muse Magazine in 2007, Gill shared insights into his cultural identity, describing himself as "an ambassador for my people," reflecting his commitment to representing his heritage in the entertainment industry.

However, in July 2012, his career took a significant turn when the Immigration Department informed him that his wife’s application for naturalization as a Chinese citizen, submitted in February 2011, had been denied. This setback prompted Gill to announce his decision to leave the Hong Kong entertainment scene and relocate to Scotland, marking a new chapter in his life and career.
