James Marshall
James Marshall, born on January 2, 1967, is a notable American actor renowned for his portrayal of James Hurley in the iconic television series Twin Peaks, which aired from 1990 to 1991, along with its 1992 prequel film, Twin Peaks: Fire Walk with Me. He gained further recognition for his role as PFC Louden Downey in the critically acclaimed film A Few Good Men (1992).
Over the years, Marshall has showcased his talent in a variety of films, including Cadence (1990), Gladiator (1992), Hits! (1994), Vibrations (1995), All She Ever Wanted (1996), Criminal Affairs (1997), Soccer Dog: The Movie (1999), Luck of the Draw (2000), Down (2001), and Alien Lockdown (2004). He also lent his voice to the character Kurt in the video game Unlimited Saga.
Marshall is married to actress Renee Griffin and they share two sons. In the summer of 2010, he made headlines when he filed a lawsuit against the pharmaceutical company Hoffmann-LaRoche, seeking $11 million in damages due to severe health issues he attributed to the drug Accutane. His claims included significant gastrointestinal problems that led to a four-month hospitalization and the removal of his colon, which he argued impacted his acting career. With his health now considerably improved, Marshall has embarked on a new journey as a musician, exploring his passion for guitar, songwriting, and recording.
