Alissa 'Ali' Skovbye was born in Vancouver, Canada, into a family with Scandinavian roots, with many relatives residing in Sweden and Denmark. Although her older sister Tiera showed a passion for acting first, Ali developed an interest around the age of four. Her journey began when she landed a US National commercial for Cadillac. By five, she secured a supporting role in the feature film "Gemeinsam stärker – Personal Effects" (2009), sharing the screen with esteemed actors such as Kathy Bates, Michelle Pfeiffer, and Ashton Kutcher.

Her career quickly gained momentum, leading to various commercial projects and short films. In 2010, Ali made her television debut as “Haley” in an episode of the beloved series “Smallville.” Over the years, she has amassed a diverse range of guest-starring roles in popular shows like “Fringe,” “Supernatural,” “R.L. Stine’s The Haunting Hour,” and “Motive.” Notably, she played recurring characters “Grace/Paige” in ABC's “Once Upon a Time” and “Emily” in the critically acclaimed TNT series “Falling Skies.”

Ali’s passion for acting shines through her ability to portray both comedic and complex characters. While she delights in tackling light-hearted roles, she is equally drawn to more challenging, flawed personas. Committed to honing her craft, she balances her busy acting career with continued training, theater participation, and personal interests such as volleyball, singing, dancing, and playing the guitar.
