Plot

During a birthday celebration for a local publisher, Henry and Maggie witness a reenactment of an 18th-century duel that takes a tragic turn. An antique pistol, mistakenly loaded with a live round, results in the shocking death of the publisher's stepson, killed by his own brother. With a crowd of witnesses in attendance, Henry and Maggie must untangle a web of motives to uncover who harbored ill intentions towards the stepson and the reasons behind the deadly act. Time is of the essence as they delve into a world of secrets and deception.
