Badja Djola

Badja Medu Djola, originally named Bernard Bradley, was an influential American actor born on April 9, 1948, in Brooklyn, New York. With a career that primarily focused on Black cinema, Djola made a significant mark in the film industry throughout the 1980s and 1990s.

He garnered widespread recognition for his performances in several notable films, including the critically acclaimed "Mississippi Burning," where he portrayed the struggles of the civil rights movement. His role in "Penitentiary" showcased his versatility as he delved into the gritty realities of prison life. Additionally, Djola starred in "A Rage in Harlem," a film that highlighted the complexities of urban life and race relations, and he appeared in "Who's the Man?", a comedy that blended humor with social commentary.
