Matthew Lyn Lillard, born on January 24, 1970, is a multifaceted American actor, comedian, director, and producer. He gained early recognition for his diverse roles in films such as Chip Sutphin in *Serial Mom* (1994) and the memorable Emmanuel "Cereal Killer" Goldstein in *Hackers* (1995). Lillard became a household name with his portrayal of Stu Macher in the iconic horror film *Scream* (1996) and continued to build his career with performances in *SLC Punk!* (1998), *She's All That* (1999), and *Summer Catch* (2001).

One of Lillard’s most enduring roles is that of Shaggy Rogers in *Scooby-Doo* (2002) and its sequel, *Scooby-Doo 2: Monsters Unleashed* (2004). Since 2009, he has voiced the character in various animated series and films, succeeding the beloved Casey Kasem.
