Zita Sattar
Zita Sattar, born in 1975 in Birmingham, England, is a talented actress recognized for her contributions to television, theatre, and film. Of mixed heritage, with a British mother and a Pakistani father, Sattar's passion for acting ignited at a young age. At just eleven, she became a founding member of the Central Junior Television Workshop in Birmingham, which laid the groundwork for her future career. She further honed her craft at the Rose Bruford College of Theatre & Performance in London.
Sattar gained prominence for her portrayal of Anna Paul in the long-running medical drama *Casualty*, where she appeared from 2001 to 2003. She has also showcased her versatility through various roles in popular series such as *The Bill*, *Gimme Gimme Gimme*, *According to Bex*, *Dalziel and Pascoe*, *Doctors*, and *Flowers*.
Her theatrical repertoire is impressive, featuring performances in productions like *Top Girls*, *Clubbed Out*, *Let's Go to the Fair*, *Hansel and Gretel*, and *Romeo and Juliet*. Notably, she played Meenah Khan in the original cast of *East is East*, produced by the Tamasha Theatre Company at the Royal Court Theatre in 1996. While she did not reprise her role for the film adaptation in 1999, she appeared as Neelam Haqq in the sequel, *West Is West* (2010).
