Plot
In 1975 Manchester, the Khan family grapples with their fractured dynamics and cultural identity. Young Sajid faces intense pressure as he navigates adolescence, caught between his father's strict adherence to Pakistani traditions and the relentless bullying at school. In a bid to reclaim control over his son, the patriarch makes a drastic decision: he sends Sajid to the Punjab to stay with Mrs. Khan No. 1 and her daughters, whom he had left behind decades ago. This journey forces Sajid to confront his heritage and the complexities of family relationships.
