Ryushi Mizukami

Ryushi Mizukami, born on December 26, 1964, in Toyama Prefecture, Japan, is a distinguished actor and screenwriter known for his dynamic contributions to film and theater. Affiliated with Toei Management, Mizukami is not only skilled in acting but also excels in horseback riding and choreography, showcasing his diverse talents.

His career in the entertainment sector commenced with participation in situational theater, where he honed his craft before transitioning into small theater productions and various performances directed by producers. Mizukami quickly made a name for himself in both film and television, proving his versatility as an actor. Alongside his acting endeavors, he ventured into screenwriting, creating compelling scripts for plays, films, and V-cinema projects.

Mizukami's exceptional work has been recognized with notable accolades, including the Special Jury Prize at the Yokohama Film Festival for his film "SCORE" in 1995, as well as the Excellence Award at the 1998 Japan TV Scenario contest for "Toryumon."

In addition to his artistic pursuits, Mizukami is dedicated to education, serving as a professor in the Film Department at Kyoto University of Art and Design.
