Ha Jung-woo
Ha Jung-woo (Korean: 하정우), born Kim Sung-hoon on March 11, 1978, is a prominent South Korean actor, director, screenwriter, and producer. Renowned for his significant contributions to Korean cinema, Ha is celebrated as one of the country’s highest-grossing actors, with his films collectively selling over 100 million tickets. Remarkably, he achieved this milestone at a younger age than his contemporaries, further solidifying his status in the industry.
Ha's rise to fame was marked by his compelling performance in the 2008 thriller The Chaser, directed by Na Hong-jin. He has since become a leading figure in South Korean film, demonstrating remarkable versatility across various genres. His notable works include the road movie My Dear Enemy (2008), the sports drama Take Off (2009), the action thriller The Yellow Sea (2010), and the gangster film Nameless Gangster: Rules of the Time (2012). He also shone in the romantic comedy Love Fiction (2012), the espionage thriller The Berlin File (2013), and the gripping action film The Terror Live (2013). Additionally, Ha is well-recognized for portraying the character Gang-rim, a grim reaper, in the fantasy action series Along with the Gods, which includes the films The Two Worlds (2017) and its sequel in 2018.
In 2013, Ha made his directorial debut with the comedy Fasten Your Seatbelt, followed by the film Chronicle of a Blood Merchant in 2015, showcasing his multifaceted talent within the film industry.
