Lucile Browne, born on March 18, 1907, and passing on May 10, 1976, was a prominent American actress recognized for her contributions to the film industry during the early to mid-20th century. Browne gained notable fame for her performances alongside legendary actor John Wayne in the westerns "Texas Terror" and "Rainbow Valley," both released in 1935.

Her journey in the film industry began to flourish in the early 1930s, and it was on the set of "The Airmail Mystery" in 1932 that she met James Flavin, who would later become her husband. Their marriage lasted over four decades, a testament to their enduring partnership, until Flavin's death on April 23, 1976.

Tragically, Browne was profoundly affected by her husband's passing, leading to her own death just seventeen days later. Together, they had one son, William James Flavin, who pursued a career in academia as a professor.
