Plot
Mr. Schmidt's quirky costume shop teeters on the brink of bankruptcy, largely due to his fixation on eccentric Rube Goldberg contraptions. To resolve the financial woes, creditors send a young manager who soon finds himself smitten with Schmidt’s niece, Louise, who is not interested. Alongside friends Ted, Queenie, and a band of hapless firemen, they brainstorm wild schemes to salvage the business. When a fire threatens Louise's safety, a madcap rescue unfolds, blending slapstick comedy with heartfelt teamwork, showcasing both the chaos and camaraderie that ensue in their desperate bid to save the day.
