John Pata
John Pata is a Wisconsin-based filmmaker and the founder of Head Trauma Productions. Although his academic background is in graphic design, Pata ventured into filmmaking by creating his inaugural short film during his final year at college. After earning his degree, he co-established a screen-printing business, which he managed for two and a half years. In 2010, he sold his stake in the venture to finance his first feature film, marking a significant step in his filmmaking journey.
Since then, Pata's cinematic creations have garnered international attention, being showcased at prestigious festivals such as the Fantasia International Film Festival, Sitges Film Festival, and Fantastic Fest. His unique storytelling and creative vision have earned him recognition in the film community.
Beyond his professional pursuits, Pata is known for his eclectic interests, including a passion for punk rock music and a long-standing appreciation for ska, which he has championed for over 25 years. An avid reader, he is particularly drawn to the works of Stephen King, and he has a well-documented love for vegetarian burritos. Through his diverse interests and dedication to filmmaking, John Pata continues to leave a distinctive mark on the industry.
