Jim Mallon

James Joseph Mallon, born on March 19, 1956, is a distinguished American producer and writer recognized for his influential role in television and film. He gained widespread acclaim as the executive producer of the renowned series, Mystery Science Theater 3000 (MST3K), which earned a prestigious Peabody Award during its run. As the president of Best Brains, Inc., the original production company behind MST3K, Mallon played a pivotal role in shaping the show's unique blend of comedy and commentary.

Over his career, he directed more than 75 episodes of MST3K, showcasing his talents behind the camera as well as in front of it. In addition to his production work, Mallon brought the character Gypsy to life, performing the role from the series' inception until the middle of its eighth season, during the "Jack Frost" episode.
