Maggie McOmie
Maggie McOmie is an American actress recognized for her work in both stage and film, particularly for her role alongside Robert Duvall in the 1971 movie THX 1138. In preparation for her character, LUH, she had to shave her head, a unique experience that was humorously captured in a behind-the-scenes featurette titled Bald. McOmie was among the select few actresses who consented to alter her hairstyle for the part.
After her experience with THX 1138, McOmie opted not to pursue a prominent career in film, making it her sole significant credit. However, she did make a return to the screen with minor roles in the 2006 films Grand Junction and The Boston Strangler. In addition to her film work, McOmie also took to the stage, portraying Halie in Sam Shepard's Buried Child at Third Eye Theatre in Portland, Oregon, between March 16 and April 14, 2007.
This biography reflects her unique contributions to the arts, highlighting her willingness to take risks in her roles and her eventual return to acting in various capacities.
