Santiago Cabrera

Santiago Cabrera, born on May 5, 1978, is a prominent Chilean actor recognized for his impactful performances across both the UK and the United States. He gained widespread acclaim for portraying Isaac Mendez in the NBC superhero series Heroes. Cabrera further showcased his versatility as Lancelot in the BBC fantasy drama Merlin and as Aramis in the popular adaptation of The Musketeers. He also took on the lead role of Darius Tanz in CBS's drama Salvation and currently captivates audiences as Captain Cristóbal "Cris" Rios in the Paramount+ series Star Trek: Picard.

Originally hailing from Caracas, Venezuela, Cabrera was born into a family with a diplomatic background, as his father was a Chilean diplomat. His upbringing was international, having lived in various locations including England, Romania, Toronto, and Madrid, before returning to Chile at the age of fifteen. During his high school years, he was known as the captain of the football team. Initially encouraged by his teachers, he ventured into acting, a decision that led him to train at the prestigious Drama Centre London from 2000 to 2003.
