Plot

In "Love and Other Disasters," carefree Emily "Jacks" Jackson is an employee at the British Vogue magazine. Instead of seeking a committed relationship, she casually sees her loyal ex, James Wildstone, while sharing an apartment with her gay friend, Peter Simon, who is a screenwriter. When Jacks encounters Paolo Sarmiento, an assistant to a photographer from Argentina, she mistakenly believes he is gay and attempts to set him up with Peter. However, unbeknownst to her, Paolo is actually straight and harbors feelings for Jacks, complicating her romantic pursuits.
