Kiran Shah

Kiran Jethalal Shah MBE, born on September 28, 1956, in Nairobi, Kenya, is a distinguished Kenyan actor and stunt double. He grew up in an Indian family and spent his early years in Kenya until the age of twelve, when he relocated to India with his family. This move ignited his passion for the film industry, and after settling in Feltham, he quickly immersed himself in the world of entertainment.

Shah launched his acting career with a role as a stand-in in the 1977 film **Candleshoe**. His journey took a pivotal turn when stunt coordinator Bob Anderson recognized his talent and invited him to perform stunts, marking the beginning of a prolific career. He gained prominence for his role as Bolum in **The People That Time Forgot** (1977).

Often mistaken for fellow actor Deep Roy, Shah shares a similar background as a dwarf Nairobi-born Kenyan of Indian descent, both making their mark in the late 1970s. Kiran Shah holds the title of the world’s shortest stuntman as recognized by the Guinness World Records. Over his career, he has appeared in 31 films as an actor and contributed to 37 projects as a stuntman or body double, showcasing his versatility and dedication to the craft. His contributions to film have left a lasting impact, solidifying his place in cinematic history.
