Plot
Otto Baxter, a 35-year-old man with Down Syndrome, embarks on a six-year journey to create a bold, autobiographical comedy-horror-musical set in Victorian London. His film, The Puppet Asylum, serves as a medium for Otto to delve into his origins, adoption, and his tumultuous struggle against ‘The Master,’ a sinister magician intent on controlling his destiny. As Otto navigates the filmmaking process, he faces personal challenges, including the death of his birth mother. With the support of friends Bruce Fletcher and Peter Beard, he not only realizes his artistic vision but also discovers profound insights about life and his future.
