Daniel Schmid
Daniel Schmid (December 26, 1941 – August 5, 2006) was a prominent Swiss director known for his impactful contributions to both theatre and cinema. One of his notable works, *Hécate*, was showcased at the prestigious 33rd Berlin International Film Festival in 1982, highlighting his unique vision and artistic prowess. Later, in 1999, his film *Beresina, or the Last Days of Switzerland* was selected for the Un Certain Regard section at the Cannes Film Festival, further cementing his status as an influential filmmaker.
