Samy Seghir
Samy Seghir, born on June 29, 1994, in Saint-Denis, is a talented French actor with Algerian heritage. His journey into acting began in 2006 when his mother responded to a local newspaper ad, leading him to audition for the film *Michou d’Auber*. His performance caught the attention of renowned producer Luc Besson, and he landed the role of Messaoud, a character reflecting his own life in Émile-Dubois, in this historical drama alongside celebrated actors Gérard Depardieu and Nathalie Baye.
The same year marked his foray into television with the film *Harkis*, where he starred alongside Smaïn. In 2007, he appeared in *Big City*, directed by Djamel Bensalah. His breakout role came in 2009 with *Neuilly sa mère!*, which solidified his status as an emerging star and was a result of his collaboration with Bensalah.
In January 2010, Samy took the stage at the NRJ Music Awards to present an award, showcasing his growing presence in the French entertainment industry. He was also shortlisted among the last fifteen contenders for a César Award in the Most Promising Newcomer category.
In 2010, he starred in the TV movie *Fracture*, directed by Alain Tasma, alongside Leila Bekhti and Anaïs Demoustier. Seghir made a notable appearance in the music video for “L'insécurité” by Seyfu in May 2011. Recently, he reprised his role in *Neuilly sa mère, sa mère*, continuing to leave his mark on French cinema.
