Kumail Ali Nanjiani, born on May 2, 1978, is a prominent Pakistani-American stand-up comedian and actor, celebrated for his unique blend of humor and storytelling. He gained widespread recognition for his portrayal of Dinesh in the acclaimed HBO comedy series *Silicon Valley*, which aired from 2014 to 2019. Nanjiani co-wrote and starred in the critically acclaimed romantic comedy film *The Big Sick* (2017), alongside his wife, Emily V. Gordon. Their collaborative work earned them an Academy Award nomination for Best Original Screenplay.

In 2018, Nanjiani was named one of Time magazine's 100 most influential people, a testament to his impact on both comedy and culture.
