Candice Bergen
Candice Patricia Bergen, born on May 9, 1946, is a renowned American actress and former fashion model. She gained widespread acclaim for her role as the titular character in the CBS sitcom Murphy Brown, which aired from 1988 to 1998 and was revived from 2018 to 2019. Bergen's exceptional performance earned her five Primetime Emmy Awards and two Golden Globe Awards. She also made a significant impact on television with her portrayal of Shirley Schmidt in the ABC legal drama Boston Legal from 2005 to 2008.
Bergen started her career in the fashion industry, gracing the cover of Vogue before transitioning to acting with her film debut in The Group (1966). She showcased her talent in a variety of notable films, including The Sand Pebbles (1966), Soldier Blue (1970), Carnal Knowledge (1971), and The Wind and the Lion (1975).
