Ellen Hollman is best known for her captivating portrayal of "Saxa" in the acclaimed STARZ series, Spartacus: War of the Damned and Spartacus: Vengeance, which garnered significant attention and praise in the network's history. A dedicated practitioner of jiu-jitsu, Hollman has also showcased her formidable skills in notable roles such as the recurring character "Amelia Parsons," a formidable assassin in NCIS: New Orleans, and in AMC’s innovative martial arts series, Into the Badlands. Her impressive resume further includes recurring appearances on Ryan Murphy’s FOX series 9-1-1, A&E’s Navy SEAL drama SIX, as well as in popular shows like Lethal Weapon and Hawaii Five-0.

Originally from Michigan, Hollman was nurtured by her father, Hart Hollman, a violist with the Detroit Symphony Orchestra, and her mother, Julie, a master pianist. Growing up immersed in the arts, she spent countless hours at the Opera House and Orchestra Hall, which fueled her passion for performance. In her teenage years, Hollman made the bold decision to pursue acting, relocating to New York City to study at esteemed acting schools, refining her ability to embody diverse characters on both stage and screen. In 2004, she transitioned to Los Angeles, where she quickly began securing roles within a year of her arrival.

In addition to her acting career, Hollman serves as the CEO of Visual Impact Now, a Los Angeles-based non-profit organization. The organization has played a vital role in fundraising and raising awareness for their partner, ONE SIGHT, which provides free eye exams and glasses to underprivileged children and families. Visual Impact Now has been involved in numerous high-profile events, including the Golden Globes Style Lounge, Coachella, Sundance, and LA Fashion Week. Their initiatives have positively impacted over 7,000 young individuals in Los Angeles by providing necessary eye care and eyewear.
