David Michael Hasselhoff, born on July 17, 1952, and affectionately known as "The Hoff," is a multifaceted American entertainer distinguished for his work as an actor, singer, producer, and entrepreneur. He gained widespread fame for his iconic roles as Michael Knight in the beloved 1980s television series Knight Rider and as the charismatic lifeguard Mitch Buchannon in the globally popular series Baywatch. Not only did Hasselhoff star in Baywatch, but he also took on the role of producer for several seasons until the show concluded in 2001 with Baywatch Hawaii.

In addition to his acting career, Hasselhoff ventured into music, achieving notable success in the late 1980s and early 1990s, particularly in German-speaking countries. A memorable highlight of his music career was his performance at the Berlin Wall on New Year's Eve in 1989. In later years, he became a familiar face on talent shows, serving as a judge on NBC's America's Got Talent from 2006 to 2009. He was famously the first contestant eliminated in the eleventh season of Dancing with the Stars on September 21, 2010. After leaving America's Got Talent, he joined the panel for Britain's Got Talent in 2011, working alongside Amanda Holden and Michael McIntyre.
