Amy Beth Dziewiontkowski, professionally recognized as Amy Ryan, was born on November 30, 1969, in Queens, New York City. An accomplished American actress, Ryan garnered critical acclaim and earned nominations for both an Academy Award and a Golden Globe for her remarkable role in the 2007 film *Gone Baby Gone*. Her impressive television career includes memorable performances in HBO's acclaimed series *The Wire*, where she portrayed Port Authority Officer Beadie Russell; *In Treatment*, as psychiatrist Adele Brousse; and *The Office*, where she played the lovable human resources representative Holly Flax.
Ryan hails from a diverse background, with English, Irish, and Polish heritage. She is the daughter of Pam, a dedicated nurse, and John, who ran a trucking company.
