A life member of The Actors Studio, Glynn made her Broadway debut later in her career, winning the Tony Award for Outstanding Featured Actress in a Musical in 1979 for her role as "Mona Stangley" in the original production of The Best Little Whorehouse in Texas, a musical her husband adapted from a Playboy article in collaboration with its author, Larry L. King, and composer Carol Hall.
