Claudiu Bleonţ

Claudiu Bleonț, born on August 17, 1959, in Bucharest, Romania, is a distinguished actor known for his work in both film and theatre, as well as his vibrant presence on television. He has gained popularity in Romania for his comedic talents and improvisational skills, particularly showcased as the host of the family-oriented show "Duminica în familie" on TVR1.

Bleonț's educational journey began at a German high school in Bucharest, culminating in his studies at the National Bucharest Film Academy. Throughout his career, he has taken on prominent roles in numerous Romanian theatres, often gravitating towards classical works. His portrayal of Romeo in a unique adaptation of Shakespeare's "Romeo and Juliet," where the iconic balcony scene was creatively transformed into a bathtub scene, stands out as one of his most celebrated performances. His contributions to theatre have earned him several national accolades.

In cinema, Bleonț has featured in seventeen films, collaborating with various acclaimed Romanian directors. Notably, he played a significant role in "Un été inoubliable," directed by Lucian Pintilie, which received a nomination for the prestigious Golden Palm at the 1994 Cannes Film Festival. His filmography also includes the 2003 movie "Boudica," where he portrayed Suetonius' ADC, and Dan Pița's 2005 film "Femeia visurilor." Bleonț's personal life includes a marriage to stage director Beatrice Bleonț in 1995, followed by a union with actress Andra Negulescu in 2001.
