Jonathan Drew Groff, born on March 26, 1985, is a distinguished American actor and singer whose career has spanned across stage, film, and television. He gained significant recognition for his role as Melchior Gabor in the Broadway hit *Spring Awakening* (2006-2008), a performance that earned him a Tony Award nomination for Best Performance by a Leading Actor in a Musical at the young age of 21. Groff later showcased his talents again on Broadway as King George III in the acclaimed musical *Hamilton* (2015), receiving a Tony nomination for Best Featured Actor in a Musical. His work on the original cast album of *Hamilton* also contributed to a Grammy Award win for Best Musical Theater Album.

Groff's film career began with Ang Lee's *Taking Woodstock* (2009), and he became a familiar face on television as Jesse St. James in the popular series *Glee* (2009–2015). He lent his voice to the beloved characters Kristoff and Sven in Disney's *Frozen* franchise, contributing to the massive success of *Frozen* (2013) and *Frozen II* (2019), alongside various short films.
