Aimée Iacobescu, born on June 23, 1946, in the village of Unguriu, Buzau County, alongside her brother Dorel, is a celebrated Romanian actress. Though her birth was registered on July 1, she would soon make a name for herself in the world of performing arts. Aimée pursued her passion for acting at the Theatre and Cinema Institute "Ion Luca Caragiale" (IATC) in Bucharest, where she studied under the guidance of esteemed professors, including Beate Fredanov, Octavian Cotescu, and Laurent Azimioara, graduating in 1968.

Her theatrical career began as a student in 1963 at the National Theatre in Bucharest, where she captivated audiences in a production directed by Sica Alexandrescu. Following her graduation, she continued to shine at the National Theatre, performing there for an impressive four decades (1968-2008), while also making her mark in film.

Iacobescu is particularly renowned for her portrayal of Lady Ralu, a legendary character featured in films about the "haiduks," which firmly established her as a significant figure in Romanian cinema. Throughout her career, she has earned recognition for her contributions to the arts, leaving a lasting legacy in both theatre and film. Meanwhile, her brother Dorel chose a different path, relocating to Paris.
