Julie Bowen
Julie Bowen Luetkemeyer (born March 3, 1970) is a renowned American actress celebrated for her captivating performances. She rose to fame portraying Claire Dunphy on the acclaimed sitcom Modern Family, as well as Carol Vessey on the series Ed and Denise Bauer on Boston Legal.
Bowen's acting journey commenced with her role in the soap opera Loving in 1992. A couple of years later, she starred alongside Paul Rudd in the television film Runaway Daughters (1994). Throughout the 1990s and early 2000s, Bowen appeared in a variety of films such as Happy Gilmore (1996), An American Werewolf in Paris (1997), Joe Somebody (2001), and Kids in America (2005). Her performance as Carol Vessey, a high school English teacher and the romantic interest of Ed Stevens on Ed, significantly increased her visibility in the industry.
Bowen has made guest appearances on various shows, including Party of Five, Jake in Progress, ER, and Strange Luck. She also played Sarah Shepard, Jack Shephard's ex-wife, on the iconic series Lost.
