Scott Ly was born in Houston, Texas, as the youngest of four siblings in a Vietnamese family that sought refuge after the fall of Saigon in April 1975. Despite his birthplace, he identifies with the San Gabriel Valley in Southern California, where he spent his formative years. A natural athlete, Scott distinguished himself as the captain of both his high school basketball and wrestling teams.
Inspired by the legendary Bruce Lee, he developed a profound interest in martial arts, dedicating himself to rigorous training in circuit workouts, yoga, Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu, and mixed martial arts (MMA). This commitment to physical fitness and combat sports laid the groundwork for his impressive prowess as a fighter.
