Jenifer Yaël Juliette Dadouche-Bartoli, born on November 15, 1982, and popularly known as Jenifer, is a celebrated French singer and actress. She gained prominence in the French music scene after winning the inaugural season of Star Academy France in 2002, a significant stepping stone that led to a string of chart-topping singles across France, Belgium, and Switzerland.

Raised in a modest family with her younger brother Jonathan, Jenifer is the daughter of Michel Dadouche, of Jewish Algerian descent, and Christine Bartoli, who has Corsican-Italian and Belgian roots. Her early foray into showbiz began with the Graines de star television program in 1997, although it did not lead to immediate success. However, her persistence paid off when she auditioned for Star Academy, ultimately clinching the title and releasing her debut single "J'attends l'amour," which marked the beginning of her musical journey.

Her self-titled debut album, featuring hits like "Au Soleil," sold over 750,000 copies and was later re-released to include new tracks, culminating in over a million sales. In 2004, she unveiled her second album, "Le Passage," showcasing a more introspective sound and yielding popular singles like "Ma Révolution" and "C'est De L'Or."

In addition to her music career, Jenifer served as a coach on TF1's The Voice in 2012. Her fourth album, "Appelle-moi Jen," released in 2010, further cemented her status, featuring the hit single "Je danse." Beyond her musical endeavors, she has expressed a desire to create music in English, expanding her artistic horizons.
