Hele Kõrve
Hele Kõrve, born on January 7, 1980, in Jõgeva, Estonia, is a versatile actress and singer known for her work across stage, television, film, and voice acting. After completing her secondary education at Jõgeva Gymnasium in 1998, she pursued her passion for acting at the Estonian Academy of Music and Theatre, graduating in 2002 alongside notable peers such as Priit Võigemast and Maria Soomets.
Making her film debut in Elmo Nüganen's 2002 drama "Nimed marmortahvlil" (English: "Names in Marble"), Kõrve played the lead role of Marta, sharing the screen with actors like Priit Võigemast and her future husband, Alo Kõrve. This was followed by her portrayal of Marion in the 2005 horror short "Ukse taga," and significant roles in the crime dramas "Võõras," directed by Dirk Hoyer, and "Mina olin siin," based on Sass Henno's novel.
In 2007, she showcased her singing talents in the biopic "Georg," where she voiced Asta Ots, the wife of famed Estonian tenor Georg Ots. Her voice acting credits include dubbing for popular animated films, most notably as Merida in Disney Pixar's "Brave" and as Anna in "Frozen," where she performed the Estonian versions of iconic songs.
More recently, in 2020, she appeared in the World War II drama "O2," directed by Margus Paju, alongside her husband, further establishing her presence in the Estonian film industry.
