Pierre Repp
Pierre Repp, born Pierre Alphonse Léon Frédéric Bouclet on November 5, 1909, in Saint-Pol-sur-Ternoise, France, was a celebrated French humorist and actor known for his distinctive comedic style. He tied the knot with Ferdinande Alice Andrée Bouclet on August 14, 1930, in Lille.
Repp gained prominence in France for his remarkable ability to humorously mimic stuttering, often substituting words mid-sentence for comedic effect. One of his most notable performances was in the sketch "Les crêpes," where he amusingly attempted to describe a recipe, exclaiming phrases like, "Then you add some mamerlade, oh sorry! Some marlamade... Uh! Me, I pour some chocolate."
Over the years, Pierre Repp graced numerous theater productions and television shows, predominantly showcasing his talents in the vibrant music-halls and cabarets of Paris, as well as on tour across the country. He also made a significant mark in French cinema, featuring in approximately forty films, often taking on memorable "third-roles."
