Plot
Louis de Bourguignon finds himself at odds with the ruthless Malichot gang in 18th-century France. Disillusioned by their immoral practices, he forms his own crew and adopts the alias Cartouche. With daring heists targeting the wealthy, he wins the admiration of the common folk while sharing his spoils with the less fortunate. As his notoriety grows, he captures the heart of Venus and incurs the wrath of both the police and Malichot. Though Cartouche deftly evades their traps, he ultimately cannot escape the complexities of love, leading to a woman's selfless sacrifice for his freedom.
