Rufus Crawford is a distinguished former professional football player, celebrated for his impressive career in both the National Football League (NFL) and the Canadian Football League (CFL). He made his mark in the NFL as a member of the Seattle Seahawks. However, it was his tenure with the Hamilton Tiger-Cats that solidified his legacy. Over seven seasons, he shattered a 28-year-old record by amassing an astounding total of 2,896 yards in the 1984 CFL season, establishing a new benchmark for total yardage.

Crawford's contributions to the Tiger-Cats earned him the honor of being named the team's Player of the Decade for the 1980s, with a plaque commemorating this achievement displayed outside the stadium in Hamilton, Ontario. Additionally, he was recognized as one of the 75 greatest players in the history of the franchise.

After concluding his professional football career in 1986, Rufus turned his sights to acting, dedicating a year to honing his craft before pursuing it more seriously.
