Lawrence Edward Kasdan, born on January 14, 1949, is a prominent American filmmaker celebrated for his influential contributions to cinema. He is best known for co-writing several iconic entries in the Star Wars franchise, including The Empire Strikes Back (1980), Return of the Jedi (1983), The Force Awakens (2015), and Solo: A Star Wars Story (2018). His screenwriting prowess is also showcased in classics such as Raiders of the Lost Ark (1981) and The Bodyguard (1992).
