Before embarking on his artistic journey, Armenis held various jobs, including a stint as a sailor, and was influenced by leftist political ideals.

His passion for theater ignited after listening to a radio show featuring the renowned director Karolos Koun. Encouraged by fellow actor Alekos Alexandrakis, Armenis auditioned for Koun's drama school, successfully gaining admission with a scholarship from 1967 to 1970. Over the course of five decades, he dedicated himself to the theatrical arts, spending 22 years at the "Karolos Koun" Art Theater, a testament to his loyalty to his mentor and the craft. Some of his notable works include the acclaimed plays "Prova" and "Soi."
