John Alberto Leguizamo Peláez, born on July 22, 1960, is a renowned Colombian-American actor, stand-up comedian, and film producer whose versatile talents have made a significant impact in entertainment. Over his expansive career, Leguizamo has featured in more than 100 films, produced over 20 films and documentaries, and appeared in numerous television shows, showcasing his range and creativity across multiple platforms.

He first gained recognition as a stand-up comedian in New York City before transitioning into notable film roles that propelled him into the spotlight. Some of his early standout performances include Luigi Mario in the fantasy film "Super Mario Bros." (1993) and Benny Blanco in the crime drama "Carlito's Way" (1993).
