Plot
Lex 'El Animal' Vargas, a talented Puerto Rican boxer from Queens, struggles with ambition until tragedy strikes when his brother Paulie is killed during a botched robbery of their late father's shop. As he quickly ascends in the sport, he faces the challenges of newfound fame and the pressures from his ghetto roots, along with unscrupulous influences exploiting his generosity.
