Alan Freed

Albert James "Alan" Freed (December 15, 1921 – January 20, 1965) was a pioneering American disc jockey recognized for his significant role in popularizing rock and roll music. His career began in the 1940s, but it was during the 1950s that Freed truly made his mark, earning the title "Father of Rock and Roll."
