Robert Sheehan, born on January 7, 1988, is a talented Irish actor renowned for his portrayal of Klaus Hargreeves in Netflix's acclaimed series, The Umbrella Academy. He hails from a family where his father, Joe Sheehan, served in the Garda Síochána, the national police service of Ireland, alongside his mother, Maria Sheehan.

From a young age, Sheehan displayed a passion for music, mastering instruments such as the banjo, the bodhrán, and even the spoons. His early musical pursuits included participation in the Fleadh Cheoil, a prominent Irish music competition aimed at youth.
